About the Role

The Deputy Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, Pakistan & South Asia will play a crucial role in shaping TikTok's regional policy strategy. This individual will support the Director of Government Relations and Public Policy - Middle East, Türkiye, Africa, Pakistan & South Asia in managing overall regional policy issues and crisis management.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Foster strong relationships with local governments, NGOs, and think tanks to promote TikTok's interests.
  2. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with regulatory changes and policy developments.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective strategies for addressing emerging policy challenges.
  4. Provide expert advice on technology-relevant public policy concerns to internal stakeholders and external partners.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Significant experience in public policy and government relations, with a focus on regional affairs.
  • Proven track record of successfully navigating complex policy landscapes and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Fluency in English (with Arabic being a plus) and excellent writing, speaking, and presentation skills.
