Commodity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Petroleum Inspector to join our team in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. As a Petroleum Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and quantity of petroleum products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct thorough inspections of oil, gas, and chemical commodities on board ships and at terminal facilities.
• Perform quantity and quality surveys for petroleum products, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
• Utilise various cargo calculation methods to determine product volumes and weights.
• Implement proper cargo sampling techniques to collect representative samples for analysis.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings and any discrepancies.
• Liaise with clients, ship crews, and terminal personnel to coordinate inspection activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures during all inspection processes.
• Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in petroleum inspection.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain high-quality inspection services.
• Respond promptly to client inquiries and provide technical support as needed.

• Graduate degree / Diploma in any discipline with relevant experience in the petroleum industry.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience as a Petroleum Inspector or in a similar role.
• IFIA Certification is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in quantity and quality surveys for oil, gas, and chemical commodities.
• Strong familiarity with various cargo calculation methods and sampling techniques.
• In-depth knowledge of international petroleum industry standards and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work in offshore environments and adapt to flexible schedules.
