Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Piping Designer

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Piping Designer to join our team at Wood. As a Senior Piping Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing piping systems and supports for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute piping design and draughting activities, including concept, front-end engineering development, technical study, detailed design, and EPC.
  • Produce various discipline deliverables to the agreed schedule, adhering to industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Liaise with members of other disciplines and departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Prepare sketches, piping drawings, and designs from agreed work scopes with minimal input from engineering personnel.
  • Create and respond to technical queries, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Conduct 3D modeling and design activities of piping systems and supports, and conduct 3D model reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Draft and check detailed design drawings of piping systems and supports, adhering to industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Prepare and check materials take-offs and bills of materials, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide technical input during detailed engineering of projects, ensuring that designs meet safety and quality standards.
  • Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contracts, and continuously improve working practices and systems.
  • Provide support and input into the preparation of construction work packs and certification documentation.

Requirements:

  • Good all-round knowledge of piping design with brownfield onshore/offshore experience and CAD/3D modeling and reviewing software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, liaising with members of other disciplines and departments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prepare and present technical information to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and client specifications, with the ability to apply them effectively in design and development activities.
