We are seeking an experienced Health and Environmental Consultant to join our team as a Senior HSE Specialist. This role will involve working on infrastructure and building construction projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.

About the Role:
  • As a Health and Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for developing site-specific work plans, health and environmental compliance programs, training programs, and orientation plans that meet relevant health and environmental regulations and client requirements.
  • You will collaborate with project managers to evaluate contractors' health and environmental performance, planning, and culture to ensure consistency with company risk management practices and core values.
Responsibilities:
  1. Develop site-specific work plans, health and environmental compliance programs, training programs, and orientation plans fully conforming to relevant health and environmental regulations, Parsons' ESHARP management system, and client requirements.
  2. Collaborate with project managers to evaluate contractors' health and environmental performance, planning, and culture to ensure consistency with company risk management practices and core values.
  3. Audit projects and programs and their worksites against corporate and client standards; detect and correct health and environmental hazards, create, and submit written audit reports.
  4. Implement Parsons' occupational injury and incident reporting and management processes.
  5. Initiate and conduct thorough incident investigations and root cause analyses using secure protocols.
  6. Perform trends analysis on audit findings, inspection findings, and incident reports; create and submit regular analysis reports.
  7. Represent the program SH&E manager on project or program worksites.
  8. Supervise emergency response teams and first aid personnel in providing services in emergency situations and to occupationally injured or ill personnel.
  9. Prepare and review audit and inspection reports and OSH statistics reports and presentations.
  10. Represent management during safety inspections of the job site by regulatory authorities or company insurance carriers.
  11. Provide oversight to the new hire safety orientation process and other safety-related training.
  12. Review risk assessments for upcoming work and provide technical assistance to the safety planning process.
