- Design Review and Validation: Review and validate the structural design of elevated stations, identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to address their concerns and provide information on project progress.
- Regular Progress Updates: Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders on project progress and any risks identified.
- Data Provision: Ensure the provision of all necessary structural data to the Contract Administration Senior Manager.
- Construction Support: Provide technical support during construction phases and address any structural issues that arise.
- Protocol Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company protocols.
- Presentations and Progression: Develop and deliver presentations as required to drive project progression.
- Liaison with Consultants and Contractors: Collaborate with external consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with structural requirements.
- Junior Engineer Development: Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and project team members on structural matters.
- A Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) status preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on elevated iconic railway/transport stations or similar transportation infrastructure.
- Experience working on elevated interchange stations will be an added plus.
- Experience with iconic structures or high-visibility projects, particularly in elevated overhead structures or complex transportation hubs especially in complex urban environments or high-traffic areas.
- Previous involvement in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and railway projects is required would be a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of structural principles, construction contracts, and industry standards.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Prior experience within a transportation or rail project involving multiple contractors would be favorable.
- Extensive experience with structural design and analysis tools (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro) or equivalent and understanding of steel fabrication processes.
- Strong technical expertise in the design and analysis of steel structures and facades, with the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
- Excellent project management and coordination skills, including experience overseeing the work of contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and leading a team of engineers.
- In-depth knowledge of international design codes, local standards, and best practices in steel structure and facade design.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
