Specific Duties:

  • Oversee specific procurement categories and ensure the execution of strategies in line with the annual procurement objectives.
  • Facilitate the request for quotations and proposals to support procurement initiatives.
  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely fulfillment of organizational needs.
  • Engage in negotiations with suppliers to secure quality products and services.
  • Lead the procurement contracts and vendor management team, driving strategic projects and special assignments.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies through economies of scale.
  • Conduct market analysis to assess supplier capabilities and product availability.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards for effective monitoring of procurement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance in all purchasing activities.
  • Address procurement-related challenges and foster relationships with preferred suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and quality.
  • Compile and analyze reports on procurement performance, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate degree or relevant procurement qualification; CIPS certification is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of procurement experience, ideally within the education sector.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in developing advanced procurement processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in negotiation, stakeholder engagement, and ERP systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of contractual agreements and terms.
  • Dynamic and adaptable personality suited for a fast-paced, multinational environment.
  • Familiarity with the education supplier landscape is a plus.
