Job Description

Duncan & Ross is seeking a highly skilled Offshore Instrumentation Engineer to join our team. As an Instrumentation Specialist, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of instrumentation systems for our offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Instrumentation Design and Development: Develop and review instrumentation design documents, including P&IDs, instrument datasheets, loop diagrams, and wiring diagrams, to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  2. Instrument Sizing and Selection: Conduct instrument sizing and selection for various applications, including control valves, flow meters, pressure, and temperature instruments, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  3. Technical Support: Provide technical support during the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases of the project, ensuring that instrumentation systems are properly integrated with control and safety systems.
  4. Troubleshooting and Resolution: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving instrumentation-related issues, ensuring that all documentation is properly archived and maintained according to company procedures.
  5. Compliance and Quality: Ensure that all instrumentation designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISA, IEC, API, ANSI) and regulatory requirements, and implement and adhere to company and project-specific safety and quality management systems.
  6. Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., process, mechanical, electrical) to ensure integrated project delivery, and work closely with vendors and contractors to ensure the correct specification, procurement, and installation of instrumentation equipment.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in instrumentation engineering, with experience in offshore projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong technical skills, with ability to design, develop, and implement instrumentation systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
