Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Implementation Technologist to join our team at Wood. As an Implementation Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of construction work packs and providing technical support to our offshore construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work Pack Development: Prepare and develop construction work packs, ensuring that all necessary information is included and that the work packs are accurate and complete.
  • Engineering Documentation: Interpret and understand engineering designs and documentation, and input this information into work packs.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and address hazards associated with the work, and ensure that all necessary risk assessments are completed and included in the work packs.
  • Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support to the offshore construction team, including interfacing with engineering disciplines and coordinating the closure of Engineering Queries (EQs).
  • Materials Coordination: Coordinate with the Materials Controller and Offshore Construction Supervisors to ensure that all materials are job-ready.
  • Planning and Preparation: Liaise with the offshore construction team to plan and prepare activities, and ensure that all necessary information is included in the work packs.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5 to 10 years of applicable experience within the oil and gas industry.
  • Education: A Technical Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of implementation principles and objectives, ability to read and understand engineering and vendor drawings and documentation, and proven organizational, planning, and cost management skills.
  • Software: Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Citizenship: Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood.
