Actalent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biological Survey Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our environmental services group, you will be responsible for leading or assisting with biological surveys and monitoring during construction activities for rare/sensitive flora and fauna.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct biological surveys and monitoring to identify and mitigate potential environmental impacts
  • Lead or assist with fieldwork, including data collection and analysis
  • Prepare and submit reports on survey findings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement environmental mitigation measures
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and industry best practices
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience in natural resources, with experience working outdoors in remote areas
  • BA/BS in biology, ecology, botany, or other natural resource related field
  • Experience with BLM Sensitive Plant surveys
  • Excellent migratory bird identification skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills
