Job Summary

Burjeel Holdings is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Image Analysis: Select and examine images to identify differences between healthy and pathological areas, and determine if the scope of the exam should be extended based on preliminary findings.
  • Reporting: Present sonograms and preliminary findings to Physicians, and complete the appropriate documentation and maintain patients' medical records.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain a sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for the performance of duties.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with radiologists to arrange further imaging or tests, and facilitate anatomy and pathology in cross-sectional imaging to optimize scan protocols.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain safe and competent use of all radiology equipment, patient appliances, and aids used in the department.
  • Incident Reporting: Report any incidents and equipment faults or deterioration to senior staff in a timely manner.
  • Software Operation: Operate advanced software on specialist radiological equipment, such as image reconstructions, quantifications, and dynamic imaging.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, including restocking of supplies for subsequent use and equipment cleaning.
  • Assistance: Assist Physicians and healthcare teams during invasive procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean the sonographic equipment.
  • Medical Procedures: Perform medical procedures, such as administering oxygen, taking vital signs, and giving emergency treatments.
  • Procedure Evaluation: Evaluate and assess ultrasound images produced for acceptable quality, appropriateness, and completeness, and advise other staff when required.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven work experience as a Sonographer or similar role.
  • Licensure: Department of Health (DOH) license with title as a Sonographer.
  • Education: Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sonographer or Ultrasound Technician.
  • Skills: Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Communication: The ability to explain technical terms in a clear and understandable way.
  • Visual Acuity: Excellent eyesight and attention to detail.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills.
