Job Title: System Firmware and Bootloader Specialist

We are seeking an experienced System Firmware and Bootloader Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing system firmware and bootloaders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain system firmware and bootloaders;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up new platforms;
  • Work closely with QA engineers to identify and resolve critical issues;
  • Contribute to upstream projects to find and apply patches for bugs;
  • Analyze root causes, collect details to reproduce and explain results;
  • Facilitate communication between software, firmware, and hardware engineering teams;
  • Occasional international travel may be required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering;
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills;
  • Familiarity with C, Python, and Bash programming languages;
  • Understanding of the Linux boot process;
  • Experience with Linux kernel, boot, and system-level architecture;
  • Background in bootloader development, such as u-boot;
  • Software development experience on Arm or non-X86 platforms;
  • Ability to debug and resolve Linux issues;
  • Capacity to work effectively in a globally distributed team;
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies;
  • Fluency in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese is desirable.
