Key Responsibilities
  • Experience: Demonstrated expertise as a Sommelier in an upscale dining environment, with a preference for those familiar with Japanese cuisine.
  • Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of global wines, sake, and various beverages, including familiarity with wine regions, varietals, and production techniques.
  • Palate Skills: Exceptional ability to identify and appreciate distinct flavors and aromas in wines and beverages.
  • Guest Interaction: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling confident engagement with guests.
  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Certification: Preferred certification from a recognized sommelier program (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirit Education Trust).
  • Language Proficiency: Fluent in English; proficiency in Japanese is an advantage.
  • Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
