Fire and Life Safety Design Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Consultant to lead fire and life safety designs, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, regulations, and client specifications in the Middle East.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, with the ability to balance multiple codes and integrate design solutions. You'll need excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—as well as the ability to prepare high-quality reports and present confidently to clients and regulatory authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead designs to meet with the requirements of the relevant building codes.
- Experience undertaking onsite inspections of projects under constructions to ensure the fire strategy is adopted within the construction project life cycle.
- Able to arrange and present projects to approving authorities to demonstrate compliance to standards.
Technical Requirements
The successful candidate will be experienced with the International Building Code, International Fire Code, Saudi Building Codes, and NFPA Standards. Additionally, they will have the ability to work in BIM and possess excellent presentation skills.
Project Leadership
This role requires a commercial agile individual who can deliver projects on time and in budget. The ideal candidate will also be able to forecast project costs and expenses, while ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require a degree in Fire Safety Engineering from an accredited education establishment. Ideally, you will hold or be working towards a Chartered or Professional Engineering qualification. In addition, you should have at least 8 years of experience in the field of fire and life safety engineering.
