Job Summary
- We are seeking a skilled Drilling Operations Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing drilling operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electronic systems, as well as experience in rig operations, is highly desirable.
- The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to adapt to changing priorities, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Applications or past experience in rig operations are essential.
- Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical/electronic systems are necessary.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience with mechanical, electronic, hydraulic equipment, or similar experience in rig operations is required.
- Working knowledge of tubular handling equipment, including casing running tools, power tongs, elevators, power slips, control panels, and hydraulic power units.
- The ability to work with hand tools and operate hydraulically activated equipment is crucial.
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Ability to work in remote, isolated environments.
- Ability to work in hazardous and noisy conditions.
- Ability to work in enclosed spaces.
- Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment and/or power tools.
- Ability to work at heights.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping or kneeling.
- Must be able to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a team environment taking into consideration alternative and diverse perspectives.
- Ability to comprehend, remember and follow directions and comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.
