Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planning Officer to join our team at Emirates. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning, provisioning, and replenishing aircraft spares to ensure optimal inventory levels and meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Regularly review inventory levels, analyze component failure rates, and optimize inventory to maintain cost-effective stock levels.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with engineering sections, procurement, and production planning to ensure timely availability of materials and tooling.
  • Aircraft On Ground (AOG) Support: Source and arrange spares and tools required for AOG situations, ensuring availability of required materials and tooling.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct cycle counting and stocktaking of EK inventory at DXB and outstation stores to ensure desired accuracy of inventory levels.
  • Performance Management: Manage and develop the performance of staff using the MyBC system, recognizing high performance and implementing development plans to improve performance.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years in engineering, materials, and stores or supply chain management.
  • Education: 12 years of schooling or equivalent.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with supply chain management, warehouse and logistics, repairs management, material planning, and technical purchasing.
  • Language Skills: Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of aircraft components, associated systems, and ERP inventory management systems.
