Job Purpose
Assist the financial reporting and budgeting team in ensuring accurate and efficient monthly financial documentation, management, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Review and process journal entries within the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
2. Assess development progress invoices and payment certificates for processing in the ERP.
3. Ensure all documentation is complete and coordinate with relevant authorities to facilitate payment release from the Escrow account.
4. Provide assistance to the supervisor during month-end closing activities.
5. Manage inter-entity transactions and ensure monthly reconciliations with each relevant entity.
6. Monitor and analyze the General Ledger of the parent entity to accurately transfer data to the relevant entity.
7. Conduct GL account analysis to verify the accuracy of balances in the appropriate GL accounts.
8. Track project shareholder loan transactions and account for them according to the terms of the agreement.
9. Collaborate with the project team to gather, analyze, and interpret financial data, providing support regarding the status of financial information.
10. Liaise with the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely booking of project expenses.
11. Work with external auditors to provide requested information.
12. Keep track of the development progress of the project.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA) is preferred.
Related Years of Experience
- Minimum of 4+ years in financial and management accounting roles.
Technical and Interpersonal Skills
- Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards.
- Ability to adapt to policies and adhere to internal controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP.
Field of Experience
- Knowledge and application of International Accounting Standards.
- Experience in the real estate industry is considered a plus, but not mandatory.
