Job Overview:

  • Pre-Contract Phase:
    • Develop detailed cost plans and estimates using industry-standard methods;
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies;
    • Create accurate Bills of Quantities using specialized software;
    • Analyze tenders and make informed recommendations;
    • Draft contracts according to established guidelines;
  • Post-Contract Phase:
    • Oversee bond, insurance, and guarantee log management;
    • Process interim valuations and payment certificates in a timely manner;
    • Analyze variations and provide expert recommendations;
    • Effectively manage risk and value, as well as costs throughout the project;
    • Deliver high-quality cost analysis project work;
    • Respond to emerging commercial risks;
    • Compile progress/cost reports;
    • Keep the Associate Director informed about commercial matters;
    • E nsure adherence to health and safety regulations;
    • Represent the company at commercial meetings;

Requirements:

  • Possess MRICS or APC status, with anticipation of completing chartership within a specified timeframe;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in rail infrastructure projects;
  • 5 years of UAE/international experience;
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized UK university;
  • Knowledge of QS software Cost X or similar;
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills;
  • Proven English language technical writing ability;
