Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Trading and Risk Management: Execute trading orders and implement trading strategies in the CMBS market, while monitoring and managing risk exposures, including market, credit, and operational risks.
  • Market Analysis and Research: Analyze market data and trends to identify trading opportunities and inform investment decisions.
  • Client Relationships and Collaboration: Maintain and develop relationships with clients and counterparties to facilitate trading activities, and collaborate with research, sales, and other trading desks to develop and execute client-focused trading strategies.
  • Industry Knowledge and Best Practices: Stay abreast of market developments, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree and/or work experience, in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: 1+ years of experience in CMBS trading, preferably within a financial institution or investment bank.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and Bloomberg, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, knowledge of fixed income markets, securitization, and financial modeling is preferred, Series 7 and Series 63/66 licenses are a plus.
