- **Develop and Maintain Thermodynamic Models:** Develop and maintain thermodynamic models and mathematical equations accurately representing the behavior of various refinery processes.
- **Verify Simulation Model Accuracy:** Verify simulation model accuracy by comparing results with actual plant data and conducting sensitivity analyses.
- **Identify Areas for Process Improvements:** Identify areas for process improvements and propose modifications or optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or meet regulatory requirements.
- **Conduct Feasibility Studies:** Conduct feasibility studies for performance improvement to increase yields and operational efficiency.
- **Analyze Chronic Problems:** Analyze chronic problems and debottleneck complex models to enhance process operations and economic benefits.
- **Conduct Safety Assessments:** Conduct safety assessments to evaluate the impact of potential process changes or plant modifications.
- **Lead Technical Sessions:** Lead technical sessions such as design reviews, model reviews, and commissioning.
- **Provide Subject Matter Expertise:** Provide subject matter expertise to operating facilities' Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams through consulting, awareness sessions, and participation in technical exchanges and conferences.
- **Conduct Benchmarks and Business Cases:** Conduct benchmarks, business cases, and pilot evaluations of process simulation technologies.
- **Review Standards and General Instructions:** Review standards and General Instructions for the GME departments and act as a leading Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- **Prepare Detailed Reports and Presentations:** Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate simulation results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- **Collaborate with Other Engineers:** Collaborate with other engineers, researchers, and vendors to contribute to the development of new simulation software tools, methodologies, and techniques.
**Requirements:**
- **Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field**
- **Minimum 5 years of experience in process simulation and optimization**
- **Strong knowledge of refinery processes and simulation software**
- **Excellent communication and leadership skills**
