Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Department Manager to join our team at China National Chemical Engineering & Construction Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to site operations in Engineering and Construction activities to achieve the targets and completion of projects within budget and on time in a most efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Reporting and Technical Support: The Technical Department Manager will report to the Construction Manager and provide technical support to site operations in Engineering and Construction activities.
  2. Technical Review and Advisory: Conduct technical review of construction documents and advise the Project Director on all technical related issues.
  3. Design Changes and Interactions: Respond to design changes and interact with commercial, planning, and contract departments.
  4. Team Management: Manage the project site technical department comprising of technical engineers and CAD Drafters.
  5. Document Preparation and Review: Manage preparation and review of technical documents such as Shop drawings, RFI's, etc. for its submission following the submittal plans.
  6. Communication and Liaison: Liaise and follow-through with the consultant, client, authorities, and third parties to clarify technical matters and obtain necessary approvals.
  7. Subcontractor Review: Review the technical submittals of subcontractors for ensuring adequacy to contract requirements.
  8. Meetings and Discussions: Attend meetings with Client/Consultant/Subcontractors/Suppliers on technical matters.
  9. Document Control: Implement control of Drawings and Technical Documents related to the Project.
  10. Engineering Support: Provide engineering support to resolve technical issues if any.
  11. Meetings with Design Consultant: Arrange for meetings with design consultant to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures and construction problems.
  12. Corrective and Preventive Actions: Review corrective and preventive actions in relation to project works NCR.
