Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Project Inspector to join our team. As an Infrastructure Project Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project contract documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Monitoring: Analyze and monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project contract documents.
  • Site Supervision: Provide general inspection of all construction and subcontractor work to ensure a safe and workmanlike operation.
  • Equipment Verification: Verify equipment settings, alignment, testing, and energization requirements.
  • Project Knowledge: Be familiar with the project's detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures, as well as any associated updates.
  • Contractor Management: Ensure the contractor's compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
  • Resource Management: Maintain records of the contractor's human and equipment daily resources.
  • Site Inspections: Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
  • Communication: Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site.
  • Reporting: Prepare daily reports to the RE or ARE, including works orders, materials delivery, and daily inspections program.
  • Site Instructions: Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the RE and ARE.
  • Quality Control: Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
  • Site Measurements: Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the RE or ARE for pipes alignments and levels.
  • Client Coordination: Co-ordinate and co-operate with client project manager during their site inspections in the presence of the RE or ARE.
  • Correspondence: Assist the ARE and RE in the preparation of any correspondences in compliance with the contract documents and site requirements.
  • Problem Resolution: Where site problems are found, work with the RE or ARE to resolve them promptly.
  • Start-up and Commissioning: Monitor the start-up, commissioning, and handover of the site works, including maintaining records of the project milestones.
  • Materials Testing: Maintain records of materials tests performed and executed works.
  • Audit Inspections: Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.
  • Experience: Experience in wet/dry utilities works.
