Maintenance Supervisor Job Description

As a Maintenance Supervisor at ادنوك للبترول, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment, instruments, and control systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Maintenance and Repair: Conduct troubleshooting, decide on corrective actions, and ensure that the right maintenance is done on equipment in need of repair.
  • Supervision of Installation, Repairing, and Maintenance Jobs: Supervise installation, repairing, and maintenance jobs on a wide variety of equipment and systems covering all plants on site.
  • Work Execution Quality and Progress Monitoring: Monitor work execution quality and follow up on work progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Contractor Management: Monitor and inspect maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with specified terms and parameters.
  • Quality Procedures and HSE Requirements: Ensure that quality procedures, vendor/OEM instructions, HSE requirements, etc. are available and followed by the job execution group.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Coordinate with different departments to ensure timely completion of all maintenance jobs in the safest and most effective manner.
  • Technical Support: Coordinate and provide technical support to shift personnel for any requirements related to job execution.
  • Instrument and Control Maintenance: Supervise instrument and control maintenance jobs for the assigned plant area with objectives to minimize failures, reduce pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up delays, and ensure equipment reliability and availability.
  • Safety and Risk Assessment: Conduct task risk assessment and be responsible for maintaining safety at the work location.
  • Performance Testing and Deviation Recording: Conduct and record performance testing of SIL instruments and deviation recording in case of performance failure.
  • Risk Management: Conduct and participate in risk management for any interlock defeat requirement.
  • Job Execution Instructions: Provide day-to-day instructions for safe job execution.
  • Toolbox Talks: Perform regular toolbox talks to pass all types of information to the team of technicians, including HSE and Q, and HR-related information, daily activities, etc.
  • HSE and Environmental Compliance: Ensure that HSE-critical and non-HSE instrument and control systems on facilities can be operated in a safe and environmentally sound manner to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations in accordance with company guidelines and complex HSE policy and procedures.
  • Calibration and Maintenance: Closely follow up on the calibration of all IQE instruments and calibration tools used for calibration and maintain proper records as per ISO requirements.
  • System Support: Support System Engineers in maintaining DCS, ESD, and MCMS system hardware.
  • Profitability Programs and Alarm Management: Support maintenance requirements related to profitability programs and alarm management.
  • Job Inspection and Approval: Inspect completed jobs for conformity to statutory and company standards and regulations.
  • Functional Tests and Equipment Run Tests: Observe and approve functional tests, equipment run tests, etc.
  • PM Plans and Equipment Files: Verify that required PM plans for equipment maintenance and preservation are executed as per procedures and maintain equipment files that contain equipment datasheet, maintenance logbook, history, and any other relevant records like calibration reports, checklist, etc.
  • Instrument and Control Equipment Inspection: Perform visual, close, and detailed inspection of installed instrument and control equipment.
  • Daily Maintenance and Start-up Schedule: Discuss the daily maintenance and start-up schedule and the daily plan with the Planners and Operation teams to ensure optimum use of resources such as time, material, and labor.
  • Major Equipment Turnarounds and Shutdowns: Participate in the planning and execution of major equipment turnarounds and shutdowns and supervise the equipment overhaul and evaluate afterwards to ensure smooth running.
