Job Title: HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team at Accor. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting and Communication: Regularly report to the Engineering Supervisor on daily work progress and work order completion.
  • Air Conditioning Complaints: Attend to all A/C complaints on a daily basis, prioritizing guest room trouble.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Work closely with the Engineering Supervisor and peers to carry out preventive maintenance and annual maintenance programs.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, departmental procedures, and instructions.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform all other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read building services, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to fault-find and repair air-conditioning and building control systems, with good electrical knowledge.
  • System Knowledge: Familiarity with BMS systems.
  • Experience: Experience with reciprocating chillers and air handling plant, as well as cold rooms.
  • Programmes and Initiatives: Familiarity with planned preventive maintenance and safety programmes.
  • Teamwork and Flexibility: Ability to work on own initiative, with good understanding of water treatment techniques and ability to handle chemicals.
  • Inspections and Maintenance: Makes periodic inspection tours to check all refrigeration equipment functioning properly.
  • Guest Room Maintenance: Carries out guest room maintenance according to schedule programme.
  • Collaboration: Works closely with electrician to carry out electrical work when required, including functions and parties.
  • Record-Keeping: Fills daily refrigeration log sheet and records temperature.
  • Support and Assistance: Works closely with peers to assist in their job when requested by supervisor.
  • Tool Maintenance: Keeps all necessary tools in good working condition and maintains a neat and clean working place.
  • Brand and Standards: Understands the Raffles Brand and operating standards.
  • Additional Projects: Participates and assists in other projects as required.
  • Stock Management: Ensures that all HVAC stocks are ordered and that the stores are well-managed and maintained.
