This position offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Simulator Engineer/Technician
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting all training center operations activities to provide smooth, efficient, and high-quality service at a brand-new Training Center located in Dubai, UAE.
This role is an excellent chance to develop your skills and expertise in the field of flight simulator training center operations, and contribute to CAE's goal of becoming a global training partner of choice.
Key Responsibilities:- Technical and Operational Support: The incumbent will provide technical and operational support for the Flight Simulator Training Devices and Cabin Crew Training Devices as applicable.
- Daily Readiness and Flyouts: The incumbent will attend flight crew and maintenance calls, perform daily readiness, support flyouts as required, perform scheduled preventative maintenance, and run Qualification Test Guides (QTGs).
- Complex Issue Resolution: The incumbent will identify, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex training device issues and AOGs.
- Process Improvement: The incumbent will identify recurring issues and work to pursue permanent solutions, and seek and make improvements to procedures related to various training device maintenance tasks.
- On-the-Job Training: The incumbent will provide on-the-job technical training to other technicians, fostering the professional development of all personnel.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: The incumbent will work with specialists on complex issues that require extensive testing, troubleshooting, research, and design.
- FSTD Operations Management: The incumbent will assure, maintain, and support the FSTD operations Management System, including implementation and adopting processes and procedures as deemed required.
- Software Updates: The incumbent will perform recurrent minor updates of Nav DB, Terr DB, OIS & EFB Charts, Documents, and Perf Data, as well as IOS Lesson Plan uploads.
- Logistics Support: The incumbent will maintain, track, and request consumable items and tools required to perform the PMTs and Daily Readiness, and support logistics duties including yearly inventories, rearrangement of stores, packing, preparation for shipping, etc.
- Simulator Systems Expertise: The incumbent will pursue knowledge and skills to become a technical expert in one or more simulator systems. (i.e., Visual, Motion, Flt Controls, etc.)
