Petrofac is a leading international service provider to the energy industry, with a diverse client portfolio including many of the world's leading energy companies.
We are currently seeking an experienced Cost Control Specialist to join our team in Sharjah, UAE.
The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding all project cost estimates, including material, personnel and equipment costs, and coordinating with proposals and project engineers to clarify any discrepancies. They will also create a process for information flow regarding each expense head, such as equipment procurement, logistics costs, mobilization and demobilization of personnel, material procurement and any other relevant costs.
The Cost Control Specialist will monitor costs, generate variance reports as required and forward them to the Project Director for review. They will assess potential variations/claims from sub-contractors and other vendors, submit periodic reports to the project management on the status of costs incurred and budgeted vs actual, and assist in preparation of monthly internal and client cost reports.
In addition, the Cost Control Specialist will participate in project review meetings, provide cost-related data as required by members, interface with project engineers and accounts, and perform related duties as directed by their direct supervisor. The successful candidate will also ensure that all reports are generated in compliance with HSE standards.
Requirements:
An engineering degree with cost control knowledge is essential, along with minimum 4 years' experience in the cost control function of large projects.
