Job Description:
- Evaluate, structure, and execute new deals with the coverage and credit team, focusing on fund financing transactions, including capital call/subscriptions, NAV/asset-backed facilities, hybrid facilities, co-invest, and SMA facilities involving private equity, debt, credit, real estate, and infrastructure funds.
- Take a proactive approach to deal origination, conduct analysis, propose debt structures, and help develop solutions for clients to differentiate Vera Security, Inc. from market competitors.
- Assist in modeling, documentation, and engagement with internal parties and external advisors.
- Prepare and process credit approval packages efficiently.
- Develop internal frameworks for internal credit rating of new products.
- Liaise with external credit agencies to obtain credit ratings.
- Manage existing loan portfolios and prepare MIS reports periodically.
- Analyze financing requirements and support senior loan origination team members.
- Negotiate terms with borrowers and other lenders, driving documentation based on LMA or LSTA standards.
- Support junior team members in personal and professional development.
Budgets Plans & MIS:
- Ensure internal reporting is accurate and timely, supporting the Head of LAF on strategic initiatives including budgeting and business planning.
Internal Collaboration:
- Maintain strong internal relations and collaborate with Coverage partners, Legal, Credit, and Operations to ensure timely transaction execution.
- Implement departmental policies, systems, and procedures to fulfill procedural and legislative requirements while delivering quality and cost-effective services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in structured corporate lending transactions, with minimum 3+ years' experience in fund financing (including capital call/subscriptions, NAV/asset-backed facilities, hybrid facilities, co-invest, and SMA facilities involving private equity, debt, credit, real estate, and infrastructure funds).
- Demonstrated exposure to Private Equity and Private Credit industry, strong credit assessment skills, excellent debt/cash flow modeling experience, and knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience with corporate valuation, including DCF, CompCos, and LBO methodologies.
- Good grasp of legal concepts and loan mechanics, with first-hand experience documenting loan transactions (LMA and LSTA standard documentation for syndicated, leveraged deals).
- Some experience dealing with Credit Agencies.
- Desire to project manage multi-party financing transactions.
- Effective communicator, able to present complex topics to a senior audience, with good grasp of details.
- Ability to work under pressure, stay calm, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
