Piping Design Lead

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Piping Design Lead to join our team. As a Piping Design Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of piping systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of piping systems, including preparation and checking of deliverables such as General Arrangement Drawings, Mechanical Package Drawings, and 3D Models.
  • Conduct onshore site surveys and conduct interdisciplinary checks of Civil/Structural/Piping/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation drawings.
  • Review vendor drawings for Equipment/Package items and produce 2D drawings in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Assist in the coordination of all activities related to the discipline and prepare model/constructability review presentations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry, international, and client Codes and Standards.
  • Maintain suitable records of correspondence and work completed for reference and auditing purposes.
Requirements:
  • Strong commitment to safety and proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of 3D modelling using PDS and experience of 3D model review with the help of Navisworks.
  • Understanding and interpretation of 'Topographical Survey' and conduct onshore site surveys.
  • Ability to work to an agreed scope, budget, and schedule and an active listener with the ability to focus on customer requirements.
  • Experience in Brownfield, Conceptual, FEED, and Detailed Design and preparation and coordination of Mechanical and/or Piping design deliverables.
