We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer to lead the development of electrical and control systems for our Abu Dhabi operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing electrical systems and components for transmission water networks.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clients to design and implement essential I&C and Telecommunication systems and components.
- Provide technical advice on matters relating to electrical and control systems.
- Act as the lead problem solver in incorporating industry standards and modern technology into I&C and Electrical systems.
- Review and comment on I&C and Electrical system drawings, including site location instrumentation layout drawings, control schematic diagrams, and control system equipment.
- Represent the client in design meetings with consultants and contractors, suggesting solutions and recommendations.
- Coordinate with consultants to prepare method statements related to I&C and Electrical systems.
- Develop, establish, and upgrade design and implementation standards with periodic reviews.
- Review I&C and Electrical design material submittals and design drawings for the entire system.
- 4-year engineering degree (Electrical, Electronic, or similar) or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer certification is preferred.
- 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or managing electrical systems and components in the 24x7 continuous process drainage, sewer, or water utility industry.
- Hands-on experience in the design of I&C and systems, with demonstrable work experience on at least 4 major projects.
- Developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with multicultural teams.
- Ability to work effectively and diligently as an individual and team member to resolve complex faults on critical equipment.
- Ability to prepare and present technical and non-technical documentation.
- Proven ability to perform in a key technical leadership role, with good written and oral communication skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
- Knowledge of current technology and its effective utilization on the project.
