Position Summary
The Housekeeping Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting various essential functions within the hotel environment. At MARRIOTT International, these associates may engage across multiple departments (such as kitchen, food and beverage, and laundry) to assist with cleanliness and maintenance tasks.
Whether it involves preparing fresh linens and immaculate dining ware for guests, operating and maintaining cleaning equipment (including dishwashing machines, hand wash stations, and linen washers and dryers), or transporting dishware and linens throughout the hotel, these associates are dedicated to ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently.
Regardless of the position held, certain elements are vital for success—creating a safe work environment, adhering to company policies and procedures, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that personal appearance and communication remain professional.
It is essential to uphold quality expectations and standards, foster positive working relationships with colleagues and departments, support the team in achieving common objectives, and attentively listen and respond to the concerns of fellow employees.
Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Responsibilities include moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, reaching overhead and below the knees, and performing actions such as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable job duties may be assigned by Supervisors.Preferred Qualifications
Education:
No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Related Work Experience:
No prior related work experience necessary.
