As a key member of the ادنوك للبترول team, the Maritime Legal Expert will provide expert legal counsel and advice to the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, and Senior Legal Counsel on maritime and offshore commercial, corporate, and transactional matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Legal Counsel: Advise on joint ventures, investments, mergers, acquisitions, incorporations, dissolutions, and liquidations related to maritime and offshore matters.
- Draft and Review Documents: Draft, review, interpret, and amend legal opinions, agreements, letters, memos, submissions, and other relevant documents related to maritime and offshore matters.
- Assist in Dispute Resolution: Assist in advising on disputes related to maritime and offshore matters, including contract disputes and review of external legal counsel work product.
- Coordinate with Departments: Coordinate with the Corporate Governance Department on corporate governance matters and with the Compliance Department on compliance matters related to contracts and transactions.
- Provide Expertise: Provide expert legal advice and services to ensure that maritime and offshore commercial and corporate activities are conducted in compliance with applicable law and regulations.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform other similar duties as assigned by the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, and Senior Legal Counsel.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in top international law/consultancy firms and/or local or international blue-chip corporate/s, with some relevant in-house experience.
- Industry Experience: Experience in the Shipping/Maritime/Logistics industry.
- Language Skills: Excellent English language (written and spoken) skills.
