Contract Administration:

Supervise the drafting of contract documents.

Facilitate negotiations and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

Ensure that all contractual obligations are met.

Address claims and disputes related to contracts.

Financial Tracking and Reporting:

Oversee and monitor the financial performance of projects.

Generate regular financial reports for stakeholders involved in the project.

Identify and communicate any cost discrepancies.

Quantity Takeoffs and Bill Preparation:

Execute thorough quantity takeoffs for all project components.

Prepare and revise bills of quantities as necessary.

Project Coordination:

Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to fulfill project goals.

Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on cost-related issues.

Risk Management:

Identify potential financial risks and formulate strategies for mitigation.

Evaluate and manage change orders and additional claims.

Leadership:

Guide and oversee a team of quantity surveyors.

Provide mentorship and training to junior staff members.

Encourage the adoption of best practices in quantity surveying within the team.



Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying from an accredited institution with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience (or)

A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized university, holding a professional membership from a recognized institution (in Quantity Surveying Division) with at least 5 years of post-membership experience (or)

A Civil Engineering Degree with a minimum of 12 years of post-qualification experience in Quantity Surveying (or)

A Civil Engineering Degree with a professional membership from a recognized institution (in Quantity Surveying Division) or a Master's Degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognized university with at least 5 years of post-membership experience.
