Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct constructability reviews during the construction stages to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Review and provide feedback on design consultant and contractor submittals in a timely manner.
  • Attend progress and technical meetings with contractors and other subcontractors to ensure that all parties are aligned and working towards the same goals.
  • Coordinate with document controllers to ensure that all relevant documents are properly controlled and up-to-date.
  • Review and analyze alternatives to design concepts submitted by design consultants and contractors, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Review and propose materials and equipment to improve quality, future maintenance, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review and participate in the pre-qualification of construction subcontractors.
  • Chair technical and progress meetings with contractors to ensure that all parties are informed and aligned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Eligible for GCC engineering membership.
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of international and regional codes and standards.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Civil Engineer.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on a large-sized construction project.
  • Experience in managing project tasks and ensuring timely completion.
