The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and coordinating with contractors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure work compliance with project specifications, contract obligations, and authority standards.
  • Inspect and check materials related to landscape and irrigation to ensure approved materials are used.
  • Prepare site reports on site activities and schedules for management and client review.
  • Nurseries visits for plant selection and preparation of relevant reports and presentations.
  • Review material submittals based on contract specifications.
  • Review detailed method statements for irrigation and landscape based on contract specifications.
  • Review drawings based on contract specifications and design for shop drawings preparation.
  • Review contractor's daily reports for progress, manpower, and resources.
  • Identify conflicts and coordinate with other services works and relevant teams for site technical issues.
  • Cross-check supervision and inspection of plants/vegetation related to garden, park, and landscape areas.
  • Guide contractors on construction matters of landscape and irrigation.
  • Issue non-compliance reports, site observation reports, and site instructions as needed.
  • Coordinate with contractor's supervisory personnel on schedule, sequence, and method of work.
  • Communicate with seniors on progress of works and materials.
  • Coordinate with client's representative during inspection and site visit.
  • Coordinate with contractor's engineer on request routing, checking, testing, and calculations.
  • Inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for designed permanent work of landscape and irrigation.
  • Ensure safety procedures are fully complied with by the contractor.
  • Monitor landscape maintenance works, including pruning/shaping, weeding, cleaning, and pest/disease control measures.
  • Identify pest, insect, and fungal diseases and nutrient deficiencies of plants and lawn grass and recommend appropriate action.
  • Review approved pesticides for use on palms, trees, shrubs, grass, succulents, and ground covers and monitor proper applications.
  • Record approved quantities and prepare trackers for remaining activities.
  • Monitor procurement strategy of the contractor and material availability on site.
  • Review as-built drawings for accuracy and relate approvals.
  • Inspect completed works and prepare snag lists.
  • Review project closeout documents and participate in handing over the project to the asset owner/authority.
  • Review and implement yearly PPM and best agricultural practices for irrigation, fertilizer/pesticide application.
  • Check operation of Central Irrigation System, including pump pressure and flow at pump station.
  • Review operation and maintenance manuals for soft landscape and irrigation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications.
  • Good communication skills in English.

Desired Skills:

  • Prior experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
