Logistics Manager RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to oversee the dispatch of cement and clinker by road and sea. This key role involves managing all shipping activities, both in bulk shipments and container shipments.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the various divisions of the business that include shipping, land transport, air freight contract logistics, and warehousing.
To succeed in this role, you will need to arrange container and road logistics for the company and distributors across the GCC, Indian subcontinent, Middle East, and Africa.
You will work closely with shipping lines, freight forwarding, and NVOCC professionals to ensure smooth logistics operations.
In addition, you will liaise closely with shipping lines, suppliers, and port authority to share knowledge on vessel schedules.
You will evaluate ships comparing freight and hire rates, checking charter-parties.
Excellent communication skills are required to advise owners, charterers, and co-brokers on various pros and cons to make a successful fixture.
You will prepare distribution plans for smooth movement.
You will coordinate with production, materials, and trading departments to chalk out logistics plans for shipments.
In this role, you will control weighbridge operations, planning for road transport for the materials from factory to the port and to other distribution centers and terminals.
Requirements- MBA / Diploma in Logistics / Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistics
- Experience in Turnkey Operations for Bulk & Break Bulk Cargo
- Good contacts with NVOCC
