As an Environmental Consultant at Actalent, you will play a critical role in advancing environmental initiatives through specialized expertise. We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a High-Precision Imaging and Monitoring Research Scientist.

**Responsibilities**

  • Perform wetland delineations using the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements.
  • Conduct forest stand delineations and tree assessments in urban settings.
  • Participate in Chesapeake Bay Area and threatened and endangered species studies.
  • Assist in the management and monitoring of stream and wetland mitigation banks.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience, and management experience preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory regulations and processes in Virginia, Maryland, DC and West Virginia.
  • Working knowledge of field techniques for wetland delineations, plant identification, soil sampling and threatened and endangered species studies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
