Job Description

The ideal candidate should be experienced in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure precision in carpentry work. Key Responsibilities:

  • Construct, install, and repair doors, cabinets, partitions, furniture, and other wooden structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine carpentry work requirements.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood, plywood, and other materials using power and hand tools.
  • Install flooring, roofing, and framing as per project specifications.
  • Repair and refurbish damaged wooden furniture, doors, and cabinets.
  • Operate and maintain saws, drills, sanders, and other carpentry tools.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and construction regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Diploma or vocational training in Carpentry.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in carpentry, woodworking, or furniture making.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of wood properties, cutting techniques, and carpentry materials.
    • Ability to use saws, chisels, hammers, drills, and other woodworking tools efficiently.
    • Experience in fitting, finishing, and polishing woodwork.
  • Language: Basic proficiency in English for communication and reporting.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in different environments, and stand for long hours.
