Job Overview

The Data Engineer will play a key role in delivering world-class big data solutions and driving impact for our business. You will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end data pipelines, from raw data integrations to advanced data modeling and visualization. You will work closely with our product and tech teams to enable them to be successful.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement data pipelines using modern big data tools and technologies.
  2. Develop and maintain data warehouses using cloud-based data warehousing technologies.
  3. Work with our product team to design and implement data-driven features and solutions.
  4. Collaborate with our tech team to ensure data quality, system stability, and security.
  5. Develop and maintain data visualizations using modern data visualization platforms.
  6. Work with our business teams to understand their data needs and provide data-driven insights.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest big data trends and technologies.
Requirements

Qualification: Top of class technical degree in computer science, engineering, math, or physics.

Experience:

  1. 3+ years of experience working with big data at scale, preferably in an online/e-commerce context.
  2. 2+ years of experience with programming languages, especially Python.
  3. Strong track record in business intelligence solutions, building and scaling data warehouses, and data modeling.
  4. Experience with modern big data ETL tools and cloud data warehousing technologies.
  5. Experience with modern data visualization platforms.

Knowledge:

  1. Knowledge of modern real-time data pipelines and cloud data warehousing technologies.
  2. Knowledge of relational and dimensional data models.
  3. Knowledge of terminal operations and Linux workflows.

Skills:

  1. World-class SQL skills across a variety of relational data warehousing technologies.
  2. Ability to communicate insights and findings to a non-technical audience.
  3. Written and verbal proficiency in English.
