Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Officer - HSE Specialist to join our team at Parsons Oman. As a key member of our HSE department, you will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of our HSE policy and procedures across various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement HSE Policy and Procedures: Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Liaise with Contractors and Stakeholders: Collaborate with contractors, safety managers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective HSE management and implementation of HSE plans.
  • Monitor HSE Performance: Conduct regular HSE audits and inspections to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Review Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessments: Review and validate hazard analysis and risk assessments for all construction activities to ensure effective control measures are in place.
  • Conduct HSE Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver HSE training programs to ensure all personnel are aware of HSE policies and procedures.
  • Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain HSE Records and Reports: Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of HSE records and reports, including incident reports, hazard reports, and HSE statistics.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Loss Prevention, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in construction supervision, with a minimum of 3 years in a safety officer role.
  • Certifications: Recognized HSE certifications, such as NEBOSH, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHAD - Qudorat Certification: Possession of OSHAD - Qudorat certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the UAE: Previous experience working in the UAE is an advantage.
