Job Summary:
The IVF Laboratory Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality management system within the Ferticlinic Fertilization Centre's IVF laboratory. This role ensures that all laboratory procedures meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within an IVF center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) within the IVF laboratory.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and international best practices.
- Regularly update and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect the latest guidelines and techniques.
- Audit and Compliance:
- Conduct regular internal audits to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare the laboratory for external audits by regulatory bodies.
- Address and resolve any non-conformities identified during audits.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate training programs for laboratory staff on quality assurance and laboratory best practices.
- Monitor and document staff competencies and training records.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all quality control activities.
- Generate and submit reports on laboratory performance, quality issues, and corrective actions.
- Ensure proper documentation of all laboratory processes and procedures.
- Quality Control:
- Monitor the performance of laboratory equipment and processes to ensure optimal functioning.
- Manage and track quality control samples, reagents, and materials.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as needed to address quality issues.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the IVF lab team to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Liaise with external suppliers and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Participate in laboratory meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a quality coordination or similar role within an IVF laboratory.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and laboratory best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in documentation and report writing.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
Willingness to travel: 100% (Required)
