We are seeking a Design and Development Technician for Engine Testing to join our team at Edge Group. The successful candidate will support the design, development, and optimization of gas turbine test facilities, focusing on jigs, brackets, tooling, and mounting systems.

This role involves collaborating with engineers and technicians to ensure structural integrity, safety, and efficiency in test setups. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with CAD software, design principles, and troubleshooting mechanical challenges in a test facility environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop facility jigs, brackets, and ad-hoc tooling for engine testing, mounting, and fixing.
  • Support the development and review of changes, enhancements, and modifications to test facility infrastructure.
  • Conduct quality checks on designs to ensure they meet technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain adherence to quality control protocols, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance in all designs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in applying the latest design techniques in a test facility or industrial environment.
  • Strong background in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience in designing and modifying tooling, brackets, and mounting systems.
  • Strong diagnostic skills to quickly design fixes for issues arising during build, installation, and testing.
