The Al Naboodah Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join their team. As a key member of the workshop operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of all aspects of workshop operations within the commercial vehicles and heavy equipment division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Distribute work according to required skills, urgent jobs, and constraints.
- Monitor work progress and check work quality.
- Estimate cause, cost, and time needed for additional work identified and notify Service Advisors of such work.
- Provide technical support to technicians.
- Review technician's request for parts and orders from parts department.
- Evaluate the optimal use of equipment and minimize waste of consumables.
- Participate in testing of vehicles which were subject to a difficult diagnostic.
- Stay informed of parts availability.
- Ensure safety rules are observed, maintain tidy and clean work areas (check equipment storage and condition).
- Coordinate with Service Manager to obtain warranty approvals.
- Evaluate technician's performance, maintain records, and update Service Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in a related position within the workshop of heavy vehicles. Additionally, you should possess fluent English language skills, working knowledge of Hindi/Urdu, and Arabic as an advantage. Computer literacy and a valid driving license are also essential requirements.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who possesses strong leadership and team management skills, including team supervision, motivational skills, conflict resolution, training and development, and delegation. The ideal candidate should also have technical expertise in workplace knowledge, problem-solving skills, quality control, equipment maintenance, scheduling and planning, workflow optimization, inventory management, and work order management. Lastly, they should have excellent communication skills, reporting, interpersonal skills, instructions, and guidance.
