Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Anantara Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to Guest Requests: Respond promptly and efficiently to guest repair requests, ensuring that all issues are resolved to their satisfaction.
  • Operate Complex Systems: Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and boiler systems, ensuring that they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear and concise information and assistance as needed.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including checking and maintaining equipment, tools, and inventory, to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Work Under Pressure: Work effectively under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines and ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of guest information and hotel operations, ensuring that all sensitive information is protected.
  • Ensure Security: Ensure the security of guest room access and hotel property, taking all necessary steps to prevent unauthorized access or damage.
  • Read and Understand Technical Documents: Read and understand technical documents, including blueprints, schematics, and safety manuals, to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and safely.
  • Perform Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies, including fires and system failures, taking all necessary steps to protect guests and hotel property.
  • Train and Instruct Colleagues: Train and instruct colleagues on maintenance procedures and best practices, ensuring that all team members are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Qualifications
  • Technical Training: Must have documented training from a technical/vocational institute.
  • Hotel Experience: One year of operating experience in a hotel engineering department.
  • Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
