We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Technician to join our team at Emirates. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft.

• Specialized Procedures: You will have a working knowledge of specialized procedures used in our Wheel & Brake shop, including plastic media blasting, shot peening, and paint touch-up.
• Motorized Equipment: You should be able to handle motorized equipment such as lifters and overhead cranes, used within the shop floor.
• Air Legislation: You will be fully conversant with air legislation and legal matters that relate to the operation and maintenance of aircraft to international standards.
• Engineering Drawings: You will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, understand symbols, flags, and general notes to identify part location.
• CAD/CAM: You will have basic knowledge in CAD/CAM such as Autocad and Mastercam.
• Tooling Development: You will have basic knowledge in developing tooling for In-Situ Machining.
• Machinability: You will have basic knowledge to characterize material machinability, tool holding, and tool cutter selection.
• CNC Milling: You will have hands-on experience in operating CNC Milling machines.
• Geometric Dimensioning: You will have knowledge in geometric dimensioning, tolerance, limits, fits, and clearances.
• Conventional Machines: You will have hands-on experience in operating conventional machines such as Lathe, milling, and drilling machines.
• Machinist Workshop Specific: You will be familiar with machine shop safety procedures.
• TIG Welding: You will have hands-on experience in operating TIG welding machines and spot-welding machines.
• TIG Welding Metals: You will have knowledge in TIG welding various metals such as steel, titanium alloys, Nickel alloys, and aluminum alloys.
• Welder Workshop Specific: You will possess knowledge of industrial safety practices.
• Weld Quality: You will have basic knowledge in accessing weld quality.
• Plater Workshop Specific: You will be able to prepare and monitor plating parameters and chemical addition.
• Chemical Preparation: You will have knowledge in chemical preparation/mixing of different types of solutions (etching, passivation, anodizing, and chromating).
• Tank Plating: You will be able to mix/preparation for tank plating and effluent treatment plant solution.
• Tank Cadmium Plating: You will have knowledge of tank cadmium plating on aircraft parts.
