We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Burns Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City - SSMC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with severe burns, working closely with the multidisciplinary team to implement the Burns Pathway and prevent complications.
Key Responsibilities- Care and Assessment of Burns Patients: Provide competent care and assessment of burns patients, including prevention of complications and analysis of burns wounds related to the source of the burn.
- Implementation of the Burns Pathway: Demonstrate knowledge and competence with the Burns Pathway and implement it with the multidisciplinary team.
- Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring: Demonstrate knowledge on invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
- Medications and Support: Demonstrate knowledge on medications indications, contra-indications, effect and side effects, including inotropic support, vasopressors and sedation.
- Non-Invasive Ventilation: Demonstrate knowledge on non-invasive ventilation.
- Prevention of Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP): Demonstrate knowledge and competence of the prevention of VAP and be consistently compliant with VAP bundles.
- Prevention of Central Line-Associated Blood Stream Infections (CLABSI): Demonstrate knowledge and competence of the prevention of CLABSI and be consistently compliant with CLABSI bundles.
- Prevention of Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI): Demonstrate knowledge and competence of the prevention of CAUTI and be consistently compliant with CAUTI bundles.
- CUSP Program: Demonstrate knowledge and competence of the CUSP program and be proactive in identifying and reducing risk of harm to patients.
