Job Title: Homecare Physician

Job Summary:

A Homecare Physician with Axios International will provide comprehensive medical care to patients in the community setting, assisting them to achieve optimum health and quality of life in situations of chronic disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide initial and follow-up consultations to patients
  • Undertake risk assessments and manage patient complaints
  • Order laboratory and radiology tests, and refer patients to specialists when necessary
  • Analyze reports, test results, and medical records to diagnose patients' conditions and propose treatment options
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens to treat identified and documented medical conditions
  • Discuss potential side effects of medication/treatment with patients and ensure that all allergy information is up to date before prescribing medication/treatment
  • Provide advice to patients for lifestyle and diet changes that may improve their health or help treat their health issues
  • Record complete, timely, and legible medical records
  • Attend and complete Pharmacovigilance, Pharma, and Product Training provided by the Client
  • Report Adverse Events and follow the country rules and regulations regarding AE reporting procedures
  • Familiarity with medical equipment and ability to provide medical assessments to patients
  • Conduct all program activities through exclusive use of Axios' Patient Management System (PMS)

Organizational Responsibilities:

  • Reflect and interpret the Axios Vision, Mission, and Core Values in his/her own work with enthusiasm and commitment
  • Act in accordance with relevant legislation and company Policies, Standards, and Procedures
  • Develop and maintain respectful, cooperative working relationships to contribute to the integrated, seamless delivery of services to patients, families, and clients
  • Understand his/her role and responsibility in maintaining a safe workplace and reducing workplace injuries
  • Effectively assist the Program Managers in managing the Patient Support Program(s) by liaising with hospitals, distributors, pharmacies, and patients
  • Work closely with the Axios UAE staff to implement the required service(s) for enrolled patients in the program(s)
  • Carry out home visits for patient care as required
  • Prepare timely monitoring reports (monthly) with patient numbers and logistics as well as quality assurance reports (quarterly) for internal review
  • Maintain and update electronic program files, including patient and quality assurance data
  • Conduct administrative duties for the office
  • Manage nurses and other home care medical teams

Requirements:

  • A M.B.B.S. Degree is required with at least 2 years of working experience in a healthcare setting
  • Must be a DHA licensed
  • Good command of both spoken and written English
  • A demonstrated clinical medical knowledge and experience in providing direct patient care

Job Circumstances:

  • The position is based in our regional office, and it does entail frequent travel to clients and partners which may be outside your designated region
  • Flexibility in ability to travel as well as working hours is essential
