Job Description

The Student Support Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the inclusion of pupils with additional educational needs in the school community. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing targeted support to students, either individually or in small groups, to overcome barriers to learning.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver individualized programs to support students with diverse learning needs.
  2. Collaborate with teachers to integrate support into classroom activities.
  3. Provide emotional support and guidance to students to help them cope with challenging situations.
  4. Keep accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents/guardians.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma level education.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a similar position.
  • A sound understanding of teaching best practice.
  • High-level fluency in written and spoken English.
  • An ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
