Job Summary

The Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - ELL is a critical role within Fortes Education, responsible for providing academic support to students and staff in the Early Years and Primary Phases of the school. This position requires a highly skilled and dedicated individual who can work collaboratively with teachers to enhance student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Student Learning: Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to support students' academic progress and social development.
  2. Preparing the Learning Environment: Prepare classrooms, materials, equipment, and supplies under the direction of the teacher to create an optimal learning environment.
  3. Monitoring Student Progress: Maintain and review records of student progress, identifying areas of need and providing targeted support to ensure students access learning at their own pace.
  4. Supporting Teachers: Collaborate with teachers during field trips, group activities, sports events, and other events to provide additional support and enhance the learning experience.
  5. Specialized Support: Provide targeted support to specific groups of students, enabling them to access learning at their own pace and achieve their full potential.
Requirements
  1. Qualifications: An 'Outstanding' teacher with at least 2 years of experience working in an international school, holding a degree in Education or a related field.
  2. Language Proficiency: Fluent English speakers available to work from 7 am – 4.30 pm.
  3. Personal Qualities: Strong work ethics, commitment to staff and student privacy, good organizational and interpersonal skills.
