About the Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the technical direction of development, showcasing their expertise by organizing product maintenance, and working directly on development tasks providing technical leadership and coordination. The key responsibilities include:

  • Identify, evaluate, and execute R&D plans for digital portfolios within PI Digital Business line for global process industries customers.
  • Owning the requirements to meet product demands, ensuring that features developed by the scrum team are in line with identified needs.
  • Working directly on development tasks providing technical leadership and coordination.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner of industrial solutions, in digital products and Industry experience (P&P / any process industry).
  • Supports strategic technology direction in own organization through own work and by proposing innovative technology development, application and solutions.
  • Maintains awareness of state-of-art technology and market trends affecting company products and services and recommends appropriate actions in response.
  • Applies a variety of accepted scientific principles and technology concepts as well as having the resourcefulness to apply new methodologies and technologies to projects and problems.
  • Acts as project leader or senior project member providing experience and expertise in the execution and use of supporting tools, processes and methods. Manages or coordinates major technology/ engineering projects of substantial impact to the Business Unit/Company.
  • Monitors and develops IP strategies within own area of expertise based on good understanding of IP strategies and competitors' patents in relevant ABB domains. Actively works to identify and mitigate risks in research and development (R&D) projects and activities.
  • Fully conversant with agile, scrum methodology.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence both internally and externally.
