The Department of Biochemistry at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a teaching assistant position. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a Master of Science degree in any Biomedical Sciences discipline or a Medical Doctor degree with 1-2 years of research experience in the fields of Biomedical Sciences. The candidates should also show a desire to pursue their career in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology related to human health and diseases.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants passing the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) part 1 and 2 or the Canadian Medical Licensing Examination are preferable.
Key Responsibilities
As a teaching assistant, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the teaching and research activities of the Department of Biochemistry. This will include developing and delivering lectures, leading laboratory sessions, and mentoring students. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to the development of curriculum and educational materials, and participate in departmental meetings and committees.
