We are seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Data Analyst to join our team at Medbiomate. As a Healthcare Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of medical coding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Abstract relevant information from health records to classify and code patient diagnoses and procedures.
  • Evaluate documentation consistency and adequacy, ensuring that final diagnoses accurately reflect care and treatment rendered.
  • Classify and code patient diagnoses and procedures using ICD-9/ICD10-CM/CPT/HCPCS/DRG codes.
  • Compute and assign correct DRG coding for inpatient cases.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and consistent coding practices.
  • Develop and implement effective coding strategies to improve data quality and accuracy.
  • Stay up-to-date with latest coding versions and HAAD coding directives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve coding discrepancies and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development to enhance coding skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health Sciences or related field with 2+ years of coding experience and valid Certified Coding Associate (CCA) certification from AHIMA or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
